I have been a proud member of the Polish Community Association in Geelong for over 30 years.
After completing Year 11, I was employed by the then Post Master General (PMG) in the Finance & Accounting Department as a clerk. I worked with the PMG for many years, rising to the position of Accounts Manager, being responsible for the timely finalisation of payment of accounts as well as being in charge of staff who worked in the Accounts Department.
I have a good understanding of finance management from the experience I gained at the PMG as well as from personal financial decisions made in our personal lives. My husband and I have four investment properties, which we are currently renting out. We also self-manage our own Superannuation Funds.
I am now retired but I decided to stand for election to the PCA Committee in 2015, a position I still hold.
